Opening Tip
• Fresh off a win in their first ever CAA game, the Hawks get right back to work as they visit Delaware.
• This is the seventh meeting all-time between the Hawks and Blue Hens and first since 2013. Delaware leads the series 6-0.
• Amiya Carroll had a season-high 11 points, including the go-ahead three-pointer in the win over the Huskies.
• Monmouth hit nine three-pointers against Northeastern. The Hawks are now 5-3 on the year when they hit at least eight three-pointers in a game.
• Ariana Vanderhoop matched her career-high with 17 points in the win over Northeastern.  
• Monmouth notched a season-high 12 steals against the Huskies. It was the Hawks' most steals in a game since the 2020-21 season.
• MU shot 42% from the field in the win over Northeastern. The Hawks are now 4-2 on the year when they shoot 40% or better from the floor.
• The Hawks enter play this weekend as one of the top three-point shooting teams in the conference. MU is averaging 7.8 three-pointers per game entering the Delaware game.
• Monmouth blocked five shots against Northeastern. It was the fifth time this season the Hawks have recorded five or more blocks in a season.
• Monmouth comes into this week averaging 13.00 assists per game which ranks fifth in the CAA.
• Following the Delaware contest, the Hawks return home for two games next weekend. Monmouth will host North Carolina A&T on Friday and Elon on Sunday.
 

50 BELOW
The Hawks defense clamped down in their first ever Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) contest. Monmouth limited Northeastern to just 49 points. It was the second time this season the Hawks have held an opponent to under 50 points in a contest.

Monmouth improved to 2-0 this year and is 7-0 all-time under head coach Ginny Boggess when it holds an opponent to under 50 points in a contest.

FROM BEHIND THE ARC
MU knocked down nine three-pointers in the win over Northeastern on Friday. Ariana Vanderhoop and Amiya Carroll each hit three three-pointers while Bri Tinsley added a pair. 

Monmouth is 5-3 on the year when it drains eight or more three-pointers in a game. Tinsley, Vanderhoop, Kaci Donovan and Jen Louro have all connected on 12 or more three-pointers this season. 

NOT IN MY HOUSE 
MU has found success blocking the basketball throughout the first 12 games of the season. The Hawks have 48 blocks and are averaging 4.00 blocks per game. That ranks first in the CAA this season and 68th nationally.

The Hawks are 5-3 this season when they record four or more blocks in a game. They had a season-high nine blocks in the win over NJIT. MU's efforts have been led by Belle Kranbuhl, who has 25 blocks so far this year, which ranks 19th nationally. Her 2.1 blocks per game is among the top three in the CAA this season. Kranbuhl is one of six Hawks to record at least one block this season.

HAVE A DAY AMIYA
Amiya Carroll picked the perfect time to step up and turn in one of the best games of her rookie campaign. The freshman finished with a career-high 11 points against Northeastern, including the go-ahead three-pointer in the final 30 seconds of the contest. She also matched her career-high with four rebounds in the contest. 

I'LL TAKE THAT
Monmouth recorded a season-high 12 steals in the win over Northeastern. It was the most swipes by the Hawks in a game since they had 12 against Iona in the 2020-21 season. Belle Kranbuhl led that effort as she matched her career-high with four swipes for the second straight game.

The Hawks have recorded five or more steals in nine games so far this eason. MU has recorded at least six steals in four of its last five contests. Seven Hawks have recorded five or more steals this season, that group is led by Kranbuhl, who has 13 steals on the season and Bri Tinsley who has 12 swipes in her first 12 games. 

SEEING DOUBLE
A trio of Hawks scored in double figures in the win over Northeastern on Friday. Ariana Vanderhoop matched her career-high with 17 points in the contest. It was the fourth time this season the junior has reached double figures for the Hawks, all four have come in the last six games. Bri Tinsley added 12 points for Monmouth. It was the fourth straight game she reached the double digit mark in and the eighth time this season. Amiya Carroll finished with 11 points in the game to reach double digits for the first time in her career.

SOLID SHOOTING
Monmouth has proven to have a solid shooting percentage through the first 12 games of the season. The Hawks are shooting 40.5% from the field entering play this week. That ranks fifth in the CAA.

Lucy Thomas, Ariana Vanderhoop and Belle Kranbuhl have all taken at least 55 shots on the year and are shooting 42% or better from the field.

SCOUTING DELAWARE 
The defending CAA Champs come into Sunday's match-up with an 8-4 record overall and a 1-0 mark in CAA play. The Blue Hens are coming off a 77-65 win over Hofstra on Friday. Klarke Sconiers leads Delaware while averaging 12.1 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.

Monmouth is back at it on Friday, Jan. 6 when it hosts North Carolina A&T at 7 p.m.
