RICHMOND, VA – Monmouth University Women's Basketball, preparing for its first season in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA), was selected tied for 10
th in the conference's preseason poll conducted by the 13 head coaches Thursday as part of CAA Media Day.

Drexel was listed as a heavy favorite to win the league, garnering 10 first-place votes, while Charleston earned one first-place tally in second. Stony Brook and Elon were third and fourth before Towson was fifth, with the Tigers picking up a pair of first-place markers. Delaware, William & Mary, Northeastern and North Carolina A&T preceded the Hawks, who were knotted with Hampton at 43 total votes. MU was chosen ahead of UNC Wilmington and Hofstra.

The Blue and White enter the second season under Head Coach
Ginny Boggess on November 7 at St. John's. The Hawks return eight players from last season's roster in addition to three freshmen and two transfers.
