POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – Monmouth University Men's Basketball (10-5, 2-2 MAAC) fell on Sunday afternoon at Marist College (8-8, 3-4 MAAC), 84-48.
Myles Ruth led Monmouth with 11 points, while Shavar Reynolds added 10.
Marist opened the second half on an 18-5 run to lead 68-29. Monmouth scored the final 10 points of the game, nine of those from Ruth over the final 3:49. Jao Ituka had 17 second-half points for the Red Foxes, 10 of them from the free throw line.
Marist led by 24 at the half, with Shavar Reynolds leading the Hawks with six points at the break.
Walker Miller's three-point play at 7:47 trimmed the deficit to 10, and MU was within nine after four straight
Nikkei Rutty points but the home team closed the first half on a 16-2 push.
