WOMEN'S HOOPS DROPS ROAD TILT TO MARIST

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Monmouth women's basketball team fell to Marist, 71-53, in a MAAC road contest on Saturday night.
 
Marist (4-9, 2-3 MAAC) held a slim lead before Monmouth (7-5, 2-1 MAAC) opened the second half on a 7-0 run to even the score, 34-34, with 8:26 on the clock. The Red Foxes responded with a 17-6 run that spanned over seven minutes to build a lead that proved to be insurmountable for the Hawks.
 
Stella Clark led Monmouth with a double-double after scoring 13 points and reeling in 12 boards. The Sea Girt, N.J., native added six assists and three steals to her stat line. Lucy Thomas and Kaci Donovan combined for 16 points after putting in eight apiece, while Jania Hall logged seven.
