WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – The Monmouth University women's tennis team fell to visiting Sacred Heart on Wednesday, 6-1. 

Sophomore Lenien Jamir won her match at No. 3 singles, while Zoe Klapman and Jordyn Pax combined to win their doubles match.

"The team gave a good effort, but came up short. The match was a lot closer than the score indicated. Lenien Jamir was dominant in third singles. Zoe Klapman and Jordyn Pax played well and had a nice win at second doubles. Klapman and Pax lost their singles matches in 10-point superbreakers instead of a third set. We will get better and are looking forward to our match with Delaware State on Friday."
