WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – The Monmouth University women's tennis team battled but came up just short in a 4-3 loss to LeMoyne College on Friday afternoon.

Elle Catanzarite and Jillian Gray earned a 6-1 win over Greta Bauerland and Sadie DePasquale at third doubles. Parikh and Sadgrove followed with a 7-5 win over Ashika Amalnathan and Naila Krifa at first doubles.

The Dolphins claimed victory at second doubles.

Parikh played a thrilling match at first singles to secure a point for the Hawks. She was a 7-6 (7), 0-6, 10-6 winner over Viviana Mihai.

Sadgrove got a 7-5, 6-2 win over Amalnathan at second singles.

Emilia Julin fell in a hard-fought battle at third singles. She and Krifa traded sets 4-6, 6-2 before Krifa secured the third set tiebreaker, 10-4 for the win.
