WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ - Monmouth University Head Women's Basketball Coach
Ginny Boggess has announced the signing of guard Kaci Donovan (Owego, NY/Owego Free Academy/Penn State), who will join the program ahead of the 2021-22 season.
"Kaci is the perfect fit for our system," said Boggess. "She is a versatile scorer with deep range, an aggressive rebounder, and adds much-needed size to our group of guards. Additionally, she brings with her a championship mindset and will no doubt be an immediate impact on the court and in the locker room."
Donovan played her freshman season at Penn State. She saw action in nine games, finishing her rookie campaign with 0.6 points, 0.4 rebounds and 3.3 minutes per game. The 6'1 guard scored her first collegiate points with a triple against Saint Francis (PA), and played in a season-high eight minutes against Michigan State.
A three-time All-State and four-time All-Conference pick from Owego Free Academy in New York, Donovan was a member of the varsity basketball team since seventh grade. She registered career numbers of 1,974 points, 633 rebounds, 301 assists, and 298 steals. Donovan holds school records for career points (1,974), single-season points (542), single-game points (55), career three-pointers made (151), career FGs made (151) and career FTs made (351).
