INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Senior Mark Orlando and junior Danielle Steff of the Monmouth University track and field team have qualified for the first round of the NCAA East Regional. The preliminary competitions are scheduled for May 26 – 29 and the events will be held at the University of North Florida.
 
Mark Orlando ranks 19^th (69.16m) in the East region and will compete in the javelin throw on Wednesday, May 26^th at 1:30 PM. Danielle Steff is ranked 17^th (50.75m) in the East region and will compete in the javelin throw on Thursday, May 27^th at 1:30 PM.
 
Both Orlando and Steff have the top javelin throw marks in the MAAC and look to place in the top 12 in order to advance to the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships held June 9-12 in Eugene, Oregon.
