Siena advances in penalty kicks, 4-2
LOUDONVILLE, NY – The Monmouth University women's soccer team's 2020-21 season came to an end on Friday afternoon at Hickey Field as the top seed Siena won the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference-Championship in penalty kicks.
After a scoreless 110 minutes, the host Saints converted all four of their penalty kick attempts as Monmouth went 2-for-4 on its spot kicks.
The Hawks controlled the game and outshot Siena in the game 25-6. Monmouth earned 17 corner kicks and limited the Saints to two, but neither team was able to score during regulation or overtime.
