WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Freshman
Belle Kranbuhl (Boonville, NY/Adirondack Central) of the Monmouth University women's basketball team has been named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Rookie Team, the league announced this morning.

Kranbuhl played in all 17 games during the regular season, earning 16 starts. She compiled 6.8 points per game, 7.9 rebounds per game, and a MAAC-leading 2.6 blocks per game in her first campaign.

In early February, the freshman registered five straight games in double-figures, including her best performance of the season at Saint Peter's when racked up a career-high 20 points (9-11 FG) and 16 rebounds to go along with four blocks.

Kranbuhl was named MAAC Rookie of the Week on two separate occasions. In a span of three games, she averaged 12.0 points and 9.3 rebounds to earn the honor on February 8. She registered two double-doubles, including 16 and 12 in the win over Siena and 10 and 10 at Quinnipiac. Kranbuhl shot 60.7% from the floor and also added 10 blocks.

A week later on February 15, she earned the honor once again after the huge Saint Peter's series.

Kranbuhl is the first Monmouth student-athlete to be named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team since
Lucy Thomas in 2018-19.
