EDISON, NJ – The Monmouth University women's tennis team has been selected to finish seventh in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, the league announced this morning.
Quinnipiac was tabbed first, receiving four first-place votes and 46 total points. Fairfield was not far behind with three first-place votes and 44 total points.
Key returners for Monmouth include junior
Nicole Gasser, sophomore
Ann Spurka, senior
Chinonye Gabriel, senior
Sophia Fredriksson, and senior
Sydney DeNardo.
Newcomers include sophomore
Zoe Klapman as well as freshmen
Madison Mills and
Lenien Jamir.
Monmouth opened the 2020-21 season at Army last weekend, falling 7-0. The Hawks return to action on Sunday, March 7 at Loyola Maryland.
