Box Score POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – A late goal in the second half proved to be the difference as the Monmouth men's soccer team was edged, 1-0, by Marist on Thursday night in the semifinal round of the MAAC Tournament.

The Hawks (8-9-2) and Red Foxes (12-6-2) were scoreless for the first 80 minutes of action, but a strike by Marist in the 81st minute put the top seed ahead late.

Despite giving up the goal, the Monmouth defense held the Red Foxes to their lowest goal output since Oct. 23. Entering the contest, Marist had scored multiple goals in three consecutive games.
