JERSEY CITY, NJ – Monmouth University Men's Soccer (4-3-2, 2-0 MAAC) posted its second consecutive shutout and got a first-half goal from
Oliver Clausen in topping Saint Peter's University (3-6-0, 1-1 MAAC) on Saturday, 1-0.
Ben Zakowski's free kick in the 13
th minute found
George Akampeke, who kept it alive for Clausen to fire into the back of the net to give the Hawks the only lead they would need.

The best chance for SPU came in the second half, when Jamie Davis was awarded a penalty kick in the first minute of the period, but he sailed it over the goal to keep MU on top.
