Led by a 13-0 third quarter run, Rider defeated Monmouth on Saturday, 61-35. The Hawks scored the first bucket of the third quarter to take a one-point lead, but the Broncs drilled 5-of-5 three-pointers to outscore the home team 23-8 in the frame. Rider shot 11-of-21 (52.4%) from long range, and held Monmouth to just 2-of-13 (15.4%). Freshman

SCOUTING THE RIDER BRONCS
Rider was selected seventh in the MAAC Preseason Poll. After earning a share of the Regular Season Championship last season, the Broncs lost their top three scorers. This season, freshman Makayla Firebaugh leads the team with 9.6 points per game. Freshman Raphaela Toussaint is adding 7.9 points and a team-leading 6.1 rebounds per game.
