LAST TIME OUT
In the team's first contest in 40 days, Monmouth was defeated by Manhattan in its MAAC opener yesterday, 58-45. The Jaspers forced 31 turnovers and held a 17-7 advantage on the offensive glass, leading to 24 more field goal attempts (66-42). Freshman Jania Hall scored in double-figures for the third straight game, leading the team with 13 points on a perfect 5-of-5 from the floor. Junior Lucy Thomas added eight points and four rebounds in the loss. Freshman Belle Kranbuhl grabbed a season-high 11 rebounds, the most for any Monmouth player this season.
 
SCOUTING THE MANHATTAN JASPERS
Manhattan was selected first in the MAAC Preseason Poll. Senior center Courtney Warley and sophomore guard Emily LaPointe were named to the Preseason All-MAAC First Team, while grad guard Gabby Cajou was named to the Third Team. Through 11 games, Warley is averaging a double-double with 10.8 points and 11.2 rebounds per game. Junior guard Dee Dee Davis leads the team with 11.9 points per contest and 20 made triples.
