LAST TIME OUT
A tip-in layup with 0.5 seconds left sent Rider past Monmouth in the regular season finale on Saturday, 50-49. A play earlier, senior Akilah Jennings made the go-ahead layup with less than a second left. The Hawks trailed by as many as 16 in the game, and battled back behind 12 fourth quarter points from Jennings. Senior Sierra Green contributed a team-high 16 points, including a go-ahead triple with 1:40 remaining.
 
SCOUTING THE IONA GAELS
After being selected ninth in the Preseason Coaches' Poll, Iona finished seventh with an 8-12 MAAC record. The Gaels ended the regular season on a four-game losing skid, including a 55-50 loss to Saint Peter's in the finale. The Peacocks ended the game on a 16-0 run. Senior guard Morgan Rachu leads the team with 12.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Sophomore guard Juana Camilion is adding 11.8 points per game and leads the team with 91 assists and 66 steals. She scored the game-winning layup with 44 seconds left against the Hawks in January. 
 
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. IONA
The Gaels hold a slight 11-10 all-time series lead. The teams split this season, including Monmouth using an 11-0 run to win in New Rochelle on February 11, 56-50.
