WASHINGTON, DC – Monmouth University Baseball (3-8) got a solid start from 
Rob Hensey (Campbell Hall, NY/Goshen) and strong relief innings from 
Regan Dombroski (Manasquan, NJ/Wall), but George Washington University (8-5) scratched across a pair of runs to take the opener of the weekend series, 2-0 on Friday.
GW opened the scoring in the fourth when Tyler Hix led off with a home run to make it 1-0. In the fifth, Cade Fergus led off with a double and eventually scored on an error, making it 2-0.
Monmouth's best opportunity to score came in the sixth after 
JP Walsh (Spring Brook Township, PA/North Pocono) doubled but MU couldn't get him across.
