Behind a season-high 26 points from senior Sierra Green and a strong day from the free throw line, #10 Monmouth defeated #7 Iona in the first round of the MAAC Championships, 69-60. The Hawks went 21-29 (72.4%) from the line, including 19-25 (76%) in the fourth quarter alone. Green buried her first six three-point attempts, and went 6-for-6 from the stripe in the fourth quarter. Senior Akilah Jennings added 15 points in the win, including nine in the final frame.
 
SCOUTING THE MARIST RED FOXES
The Red Foxes secured the Co-Regular Season Championship, and are currently on an 11-game winning streak. Seniors Rebekah Hand (18.0 PPG, 5.4 RPG) and Alana Gilmer (17.2 PPG, 5.1 RPG) were both unanimous selections to the All-MAAC First Team, while senior Grace Vander Weide (11.3 PPG, 6.9 RPG, 6.2 APG) was named to the Second Team.  Marist leads the conference in scoring offense (73.5 PPG), scoring margin (+13.0 average), and field goal percentage (48.0%).
