LAST TIME OUT
A three-pointer with 3.4 seconds remaining propelled Fairfield over Monmouth last Thursday, 40-39. The Hawks knocked down two free throws in the final 25 seconds to take a two-point lead, but Fairfield senior Sam Kramer answered with the game-winning deep shot. Another strong defensive effort by Monmouth was highlighted by zero Fairfield points in a span of 9:06 in the third and fourth quarters. Senior Alexa Middleton registered her seventh double-double of the season with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
 
SCOUTING THE NIAGARA PURPLE EAGLES
Niagara has lost five of its last six games, including a 71-61 setback to Quinnipiac last Saturday. Senior guard Jai Moore leads the team with 16.7 points per game, including a season-high 32 against Monmouth in January. Junior forward Emerald Ekpiteta is averaging 9.1 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. Both Adia Brisker and Maggie McIntyre are adding 8.4 points per contest. The Purple Eagles lead the conference in steals with 9.8 per game.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. NIAGARA
The Hawks hold an 8-6 all-time series lead, but the Purple Eagles earned a 73-70 win in West Long Branch earlier this season.
