NOTES & QUOTES
"Today was a learning experience for us. We made some mistakes early on and put ourselves in a hole that was going to be tough to climb out of. Princeton is a really good offensive team and they certainly made us pay for our bad decisions and mistakes. There were stretches during the game where we were really good and went toe to toe with them, but we have to learn from this outing, put together a good week of practice and play smarter for a full 60 minutes to be successful against good teams."
- Head Coach Brian Fisher
"When you play such a talented team like Princeton, you have to put together a close to perfect 60 minutes and we lacked discipline and focus throughout. We're optimistic because it is still early in the season and we can learn a lot about ourselves from this game."
- Junior Captain Chris Hervada
- Monmouth fell to 0-3 all-time against Princeton, including 0-2 on the road.
- The Hawks dropped to 3-4 all-time in their first road game of the season.
- Monmouth is 1-1 this season against New Jersey opponents.
- The Hawks wore their blue chrome helmets with midnight blue jerseys and shorts.
