A reverse layup with 44 seconds left lifted Iona over Monmouth on Saturday, 36-33. For the second straight season, the Gaels' Juana Camilion hit the game-winning shot in West Long Branch. Senior Rosa Graham led the Hawks with 12 points, including the game-tying three-pointer with 2:03 remaining. Senior Alexa Middleton added eight points and 12 rebounds in the loss. She is averaging 12.2 points and 11.0 rebounds in MAAC play so far.
 
SCOUTING THE SAINT PETER'S PEACOCKS
Saint Peter's was selected 11th in the MAAC Preseason Poll, and is coming off back-to-back conference losses after defeating Siena on January 6. The Peacocks have four players averaging double-figures, including redshirt junior FDU Florham transfers Taiah Thornton (14.7 PPG), Gabrielle Harris (14.3 PPG), and Kendrea Williams (13.2 PPG). A unanimous MAAC All-Rookie Team selection from last season, Briyanah Richardson is adding 10.8 points per game.
