WOMEN’S SOCCER EARNS SCORELESS DRAW AT LEHIGH

BETHLEHEM, PA – In its first road game of the season, Monmouth University women's soccer team played Lehigh to a scoreless draw on Sunday afternoon at Ulrich Sports Complex.

Monmouth held a majority of the opportunities in the match and finished with a 22-10 advantage in shots, but was unable to break through with its first goal of the 2019 season. Jesi Rossman had an attempt narrowly miss the top corner in the 19th minute and Maddison Perna was stopped by the diving Lehigh keeper Miranda Royds in the 75th minute, which were among the best scoring chances.

- Jill Conklin led Monmouth with six shots, while Maddison Perna and Lauren Karabin each finished with two shots on goal.
- Shots favored Monmouth 22-10 in the match, and Monmouth had a 9-3 advantage in corner kicks.

The Hawks host NC State on Friday night as part of the Monmouth Soccer doubleheader. Monmouth and NC State will start at 7 p.m. at Hesse Field on The Great Lawn following the men's soccer match against West Virginia. Both games will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
