Monmouth outscored Saint Peter's 26-9 in the second quarter and never looked back, defeating the Peacocks 76-59 in the regular season finale on Saturday. Junior Alexa Middleton registered her sixth double-double of the season with 3:47 left in the second quarter. Middleton ended with 19 points and a career-high 19 rebounds. Freshman Lucy Thomas notched a career-high 21 points in the win, shooting 8-14 from the floor. Junior Sierra Green broke the single-season program record for three-pointers, hitting four more today to increase her total to 96.
 
SCOUTING THE CANISIUS GOLDEN GRIFFINS
Canisius jumped out to a 7-3 MAAC record, but went 2-6 to close the regular season. Senior Sara Hinriksdottir was named to the All-MAAC Second Team for the second time after leading the team with 13.0 PPG and 8.1 RPG. Junior D'Jhai Patterson-Ricks was named to the All-MAAC Third Team, adding 11.7 PPG during the regular season.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. CANISIUS
The teams split during the regular season, including Monmouth's 67-61 win at home. Last season in the first round of the MAAC Championships, Monmouth overcame a 13-point deficit to defeat the Golden Griffins.
