Using 31 points off turnovers and four players in double figures, Rider defeated Monmouth on Thursday night, 65-50. The Hawks turned the ball over 25 times and shot just 15-51 (29.4%) from the floor, while Rider's Stella Johnson, Lexi Posset, Amari Johnson, and Lea Favre scored all of the team's points. Junior
Alexa Middleton registered her third double-double of the season with 10 points and 12 rebounds in the loss, and junior
Emani Clough added 11 points, including 5-7 from the free throw line.
SCOUTING THE SIENA SAINTS
Siena snapped a three-game losing skid with a 66-45 win over Iona on Thursday. Junior forward Maddie Sims leads the team 12.4 points per game and 7.9 rebounds per game. Junior guard Sabrina Piper is adding 11.3 points per game, while redshirt senior guard Aaliyah Jones puts up 10.2 points in 17 games played. The Saints currently sit in sixth place in the MAAC after being selected third in the Preseason Poll.
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. SIENA
The Saints hold a slight 11-9 all-time series lead, including a 77-68 win in West Long Branch earlier this season. Siena went 23-of-35 from the free throw line in the contest, compared to Monmouth's 8-of-9.
