LAST TIME OUT
A strong defensive effort led Monmouth over UAlbany on Sunday, 53-41. The Hawks held the Great Danes to just 9-42 (21.4%) over the final three quarters and totaled 14 steals in the win. Senior Sierra Green led the team with 15 points on four three-pointers. Green also pulled down a career-high seven rebounds. Senior Akilah Jennings added 11 points, four rebounds, and four steals on the night. The Hawks scored in double-figures in all four quarters for the third time this season, and got points from 10 different players.
 
SCOUTING THE MARIST RED FOXES
Marist was selected first in the MAAC Preseason Poll and compiled a 7-2 record in non-conference play. Seniors Alana Gilmer and Rebekah Hand were named to the Preseason All-MAAC First Team, while senior Grace Vander Weide was selected to the Preseason All-MAAC Second Team. Hand currently leads the team with 18.6 points per game, with Gilmer adding 15.2 points per contest. Vander Weide registers 12.7 points and a team-leading 6.6 rebounds per game.
