A 12-0 run to open the fourth quarter propelled Monmouth over Lafayette on December 7, 52-44. The game was locked at 35 at the end of three quarters, and the Monmouth defense held the Leopards without a point over the first 8:56 of the final frame. Senior Akilah Jennings scored 12 points with three rebounds in the win. Senior Sierra Green also netted 12 points, including two makes from long range. In her 100th career game, senior Alexa Middleton registered 10 points and four rebounds.
 
SCOUTING THE MANHATTAN JASPERS
Manhattan has compiled a 3-5 record in non-conference play, including an 86-56 win over Army on Friday. Freshman Emily LaPointe leads the team with 9.8 points per game, and has won MAAC Rookie of the Week three times this year. Reigning MAAC Defensive Player of the Year Courtney Warley is averaging 9.1 points and 7.5 rebounds per contest. Senior guard Gabby Cajou is adding 8.0 points per game and is second on the team with 22 asts. 
 
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. MANHATTAN
The Hawks hold a 15-11 all-time series lead, including a 71-63 win last season. Sierra Green dropped a career-high 28 points, the most for any Monmouth player in nearly 10 years.
