WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – An early goal sent Columbia past the Monmouth University men's soccer team on Friday night, 1-0. The Lions passed a ball into the box, quickly turned and scored inside the left post in the 11
th minute. The final 79 minutes were back-and-forth, with each team assembling chances, but Columbia held on for the win. Redshirt freshman
Sean Murray made four saves in the loss, giving up the lone goal. Monmouth falls to 1-4-1 on the season, and will travel to Hartford on Tuesday for the non-conference finale.
