NOTES
"Obviously, we had hoped to have a better showing. It's tough to give a team that is that good offensively 14 free bases. I'm proud of my kids, and they really fought. For it being our first time out there, I thought we had some really nice at bats. When we had the opportunity to make defensively plays, we did for the most part. We're looking forward to regrouping and coming back stronger tomorrow." –
Monmouth head coach Shannon Salsburg
-In the top of the first, Baron drew a walk with two outs. Rosado then singled up the middle to put runners on first and second, but Wozniak struck out to end the inning.
