WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ & JERSEY CITY, NJ – The Monmouth University men's tennis team improved to 3-0 in the MAAC this afternoon, defeating Siena at home, 7-0, before also sweeping Saint Peter's on the road. The Hawks won all twelve singles matches on the day, led by junior Nicola Pipoli at No. 1 and junior Srdjan Jakovljevic at No. 2. Senior Ale Gomez Estrada, sophomore Max Benaim, freshman Will Cooke Wharton, and sophomore Sergio Martinez also earned two wins in singles play. Pipoli and teammate Alberto Giuffrida won twice at No. 1 doubles, while Gomez Estrada and Benaim won twice at No. 2 doubles. The Hawks improved to 9-13 (3-0 MAAC) on the season, and have won five straight matches.
