QUICKLY
Hitting 12 three-pointers and 25 free throws, Marist defeated Monmouth on Thursday night, 85-57. Junior McKinzee Barker led the Hawks with 12 points, while sophomore Kayla Shaw added 11 points on three triples in the loss. The Red Foxes scored 49 points in the first two quarters and were led by sophomore Rebekah Hand, who scored a game-high 29 points including a perfect 5-5 from beyond the arc. Monmouth fell to 6-17 (4-8 MAAC) on the season, and hosts Niagara on Saturday at 3:00 PM.
 
SCOUTING THE NIAGARA PURPLE EAGLES
After starting conference play with a 5-3 record, Niagara has lost four of its last five games, with the lone win coming against Saint Peter's on February 3. The Purple Eagles are led by senior forward Victoria Rampado, who leads the MAAC in scoring at 20.5 points per game. Rampado also ranks second in the conference with 9.8 rebounds per game. Senior forward Kaylee Stroemple has started all 24 games, adding 12.0 points per game, 5.7 rebounds per game, 60 assists, and 36 steals.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. NIAGARA
The Hawks own the slight 5-4 all-time series advantage, with the teams splitting last season. After Niagara earned a 66-45 win in New York, Monmouth won 68-62 at home. Kayla Shaw scored 14 points in the game, including four three-pointers.
