Kayla Shaw added 11 points on three triples in the loss. The Red Foxes scored 49 points in the first two quarters and were led by sophomore Rebekah Hand, who scored a game-high 29 points including a perfect 5-5 from beyond the arc. Monmouth falls to 6-17 (4-8 MAAC) on the season, and will host Niagara on Saturday at 3:00 PM.

-Marist jumped out to an 11-0 lead to open the game, forcing the Hawks to call a timeout with 6:28 left in the first.
-The Red Foxes kept their foot on the gas in the second half of the first quarter, and took a 25-13 lead after one.
-The Hawks opened the second quarter with a 7-0 run, and cut the deficit to 25-20. At the second quarter media timeout, Marist led 39-31, shooting 8-for-11 from beyond the arc.
-After Monmouth cut the deficit to five in the second, Marist ended the quarter strongly and took a 49-31 lead at halftime.
-Using an 8-0 run in the middle of the third, Marist took a lead of 21 points with 2:03 left. By the end of the third, the Red Foxes led 69-46.
-Closing the contest with a 16-11 advantage, Marist eventually took the 85-57 win for the regular season sweep.

-With another three triples tonight, Shaw moved into a tie for 8
th in program history for three-point field goals with 135.
-After giving up 44 total points to Siena on Monday night, the Hawks have up 49 in the first half to Marist.
-Monmouth had 19 turnovers to Marist's 10.
-Marist went 12-18 (66.7%) from beyond the arc and 25-34 (73.5%) from the free throw line.
-The Red Foxes scored 21 points off turnovers to Monmouth's eight.

The Hawks will remain home for a matchup with Niagara on Saturday. Tip from the OceanFirst Bank Center is set for 3:00 PM. Last season the teams split, with Monmouth earning the 68-62 win at home.
