Despite a 12-1 run by the Hawks to regain the lead in the fourth quarter, Siena scored the final five points of the game and outlasted Monmouth on Monday night, 44-41. Senior Rhaiah Spooner-Knight led the Hawks with 15 points, while sophomore Alexa Middleton recorded her fourth career double-double in the loss, totaling 10 points and 11 rebounds. Monmouth fell to 6-16 (4-7 MAAC) on the season, and will return home on Thursday to face Marist for the first of three straight home games.
 
SCOUTING THE MARIST RED FOXES
The Red Foxes have won six straight games, defeating Rider, Saint Peter's, Niagara, Canisius, Iona, and Siena. They are averaging 79.2 points per game over their last five games, and are currently second in the MAAC with a 10-2 record. Marist is led by sophomore Rebekah Hand, who averages 15.8 points per game and 6.1 rebounds per game. Redshirt sophomore Alana Gilmer is also a key contributer with 15.4 points per game and 5.3 rebounds per game. The third player who averages double-figures for the Red Foxes is junior Maura Fitzpatrick, who adds 11.1 points. Redshirt sophomore Grace Vander Weide leads the team in both rebounds per game (6.3) and assists (64) in 14 games.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. MARIST
Marist took the series lead at 21-20 earlier this season, defeating Monmouth 69-46 in Poughkeepsie. Rosa Graham led the Hawks with 13 points, while Rhaiah Spooner-Knight added 11 points. Alexa Middleton nearly recorded a double-double with nine points and eight rebounds.
