QUICKLY
After a back-and-forth final frame, Manhattan defeated Monmouth on Sunday afternoon, 63-53. Manhattan built its largest lead of 11 with 9:47 left in the fourth quarter, but the Hawks used a 13-0 run to take a 51-49 lead with over five minutes to play. Over the last 4:18 of the game, the Jaspers outscored the Hawks 14-2 to take the 10-point win. Sophomore guard Kayla Shaw scored a game-high 20 points in the loss, including another three triples. The Hawks dropped to 5-15 (3-6 MAAC) on the season, and returns to the OceanFirst Bank Center to face Rider today. This will be the only meeting between the teams during the regular season.
 
SCOUTING THE RIDER BRONCS
Rider improved to 9-13 (6-5 MAAC) with a 67-51 victory over Manhattan on Thursday. The Broncs have alternated wins and losses over the last seven contests.  Sophomore guard Stella Johnson and senior guard Kamila Hoskova share the team lead of 14.5 points per game. The two also lead the team in rebounding, with Hoskova grabbing 6.0 per game and Johnson totaling 5.9 per game. Junior guard Lexi Posset also averages in double-figures, adding 10.0 points per contest.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. RIDER
Monmouth holds the 28-16 all-time series lead over the Broncs. However, Rider defeated the Hawks three times last season, including a 67-51 margin in the MAAC Quarterfinals. Monmouth was outlasted 71-69 in the home loss, as Kayla Shaw scored 11 points on three triples.
