Holding the Hawks to just 3-22 from beyond the arc, Canisius defeated Monmouth on Friday, 62-50. The Golden Griffins shot 48% from the floor and received 23 points from both Sara Hinriksdottir and Margaret Halfdanardottir, who combined for 20-of-34 shooting. Eleven different Monmouth players scored in the contest, but none had more than seven points. Sophomore

Adriana Zelaya added seven points and five rebounds in just nine minutes. The Hawks dropped to 8-18 (6-9 MAAC) on the season, and will have a quick turnaround to face Niagara on Sunday.
SCOUTING THE NIAGARA PURPLE EAGLES
Niagara is 2-5 in its last seven games, but defeated Rider on Friday, 69-61. Senior forward Victoria Rampado registered 26 points and 13 rebounds in the win. Sophomore guard Jai Moore added 18 points, six days after scoring 18 against Monmouth. Rapado leads the team and the MAAC in scoring, pouring in 20.8 points per game. She's also ranked second in the conference with 9.8 rebounds per contest. Senior forward Kaylee Stroemple contributes 11.8 points per game and 5.7 rebounds per game.
