QUICKLY
Monmouth looks to bounce back after a 70-32 opening-night loss to Bucknell on Tuesday. Junior Rosa Graham led the Hawks with six points and five steals, but the Bison shot 50% from the floor while holding Monmouth to just 21.1%. Freshmen Alexa Wallace, Lucy Thomas, and Allure Simmons all scored their first career points. Monmouth's starting lineup featured three newcomers (Thomas, Wallace, and junior transfer Emani Clough).
 
SCOUTING THE EAST CAROLINA PIRATES
The Pirates return 11 players from last year's team, including leading scorer Ariyana Williams and AAC All-Rookie team member Lashonda Monk. ECU was selected eighth in the AAC Preseason Poll. In their season-opening win over UMES, junior Raven Johnson and Monk led the team with 19 points each.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. EAST CAROLINA
East Carolina has won both games in the all-time series. The teams have not met since 2012, when the Pirates earned a 64-49 win.
