QUICKLY
Getting contributions from ten different scorers, preseason MAAC favorite Quinnipiac defeated Monmouth on Thursday, 76-55. One game after scoring a career-high 17 points, junior McKinzee Barker scored in double-figures once again and was tied with sophomore Rosa Graham for the team lead of 12 points. Sophomore Adriana Zelaya registered a career-high 10 points in the loss, including two three-pointers. Junior Erica Balman matched her career-high of 10 points for the fourth time this season, and narrowly missed her first career double-double by adding nine rebounds. Monmouth dropped to 4-12 (2-3 MAAC) on the season, and will have a quick turnaround as it hosts Canisius on Saturday at 2:00 PM.

SCOUTING THE CANISIUS GOLDEN GRIFFINS
The Golden Griffins improved to 5-13 (3-4 MAAC) on the season with a 66-53 win over Saint Peter's on Thursday. It was their second straight win after defeating Siena 65-57 on Jan. 13. Prior to that, Canisius lost 12 of their previous 13 games. The team is led by junior forward Sara Hinriksdottir, who leads the Golden Griffs in points, rebounds, and assists. She averages 13.7 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. Senior Margaret Halfdanardottir and junior Maria Welch each add 8.4 points per contest.

ALL-TIME SERIES VS. CANISIUS
Monmouth owns the slight 5-4 all-time series lead over Canisius. Last season, the teams split, with Monmouth falling on the road, 74-54, and earning the 55-53 win at home. After trailing by as many as 15 with 8:01 left in the third quarter, the Hawks outscored Canisius 16-6 in the fourth quarter to take the home win.
