McKinzee Barker scored in double-figures once again and was tied with sophomore
Rosa Graham for the team lead of 12 points. Sophomore
Adriana Zelaya registered a career-high 10 points in the loss, including two three-pointers. Junior
Erica Balman matched her career-high of 10 points for the fourth time this season, and narrowly missed her first career double-double by adding nine rebounds. Monmouth dropped to 4-12 (2-3 MAAC) on the season, and will have a quick turnaround as it hosts Canisius on Saturday at 2:00 PM.

-After Zelaya tied the game at seven in the first quarter, Quinnipiac used a 6-0 run to go ahead 13-7.
-The Hawks chipped away towards the end of the first, as the Bobcats took the slight 17-15 lead into the second quarter.
-After Monmouth tied the game at 19, the Bobcats rattled off an 8-0 run in the middle of the second quarter to go ahead 27-19.
-Quinnipiac eventually outscored the Hawks 17-10 in the second quarter, and took a 34-25 lead into halftime.
-In the beginning of the third quarter, the Bobcats used a 10-0 run to go ahead 44-27. They would lead 59-43 by the end of the frame.
-Another 10-0 QU run in the beginning of the fourth quarter made it 69-45 and forced the Hawks to call a timeout.
-Monmouth could not close the gap in the fourth, and Quinnipiac eventually earned the 76-55 win.

Kayla Shaw returned after missing three games with an injury, and scored seven points in the loss.
NUMBERS CRUNCH
-Barker scored in double-figures for the second straight game and 13th time of her career.
-After two games with eight points in her career, Zelaya scored 10 today.
-Balman swatted another four shots today, which matches a career-high for the third time. She leads the MAAC with 33 blocks on the season.

Alaina Jarnot matched a career-high of six rebounds.
-Four Hawks scored in double-figures for the first time this season.
-After scoring nine points in the first quarter at Iona, Barker scored seven points in the first quarter today.
-Quinnipiac led the points off turnovers battle 26-9.
UP NEXT
The Hawks will continue MAAC play when they welcome Canisius to the OceanFirst Bank Center on Saturday. Last season, the teams split, with Monmouth falling on the road, 74-54, and earning the 55-53 win at home. After trailing by as many as 15 with 8:01 left in the third quarter, the Hawks outscored Canisius 16-6 in the fourth quarter to take the win.
