WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – In its first MAAC contest of the 2017-18 season, the Monmouth University women's tennis team won all three doubles matches and all six singles matches to sweep Rider on Wednesday, 7-0.  Junior Alexandra Graff took the 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 1 singles to clinch the match after teaming with freshman Chinonye Gabriel for the win at No. 2 doubles. Gabriel handled the No. 4 singles match, 6-3, 6-2. Freshman Sophia Fredriksson and junior Maria Ivanova were losing the No. 1 doubles match 5-2 and came all the way back to win 7-5. The duo also won their respective singles matches. Freshman Rachel Rosenthal earned the 6-4, 6-3 victory at No. 3 singles and also teamed with sophomore Caroline Mattise for the 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles. Mattise took the win at No. 6 singles in the third set by a score of 6-0, 2-6, 6-1.
