WOMEN’S SOCCER DROPS 3-0 DECISION AT PRINCETON

PRINCETON, NJ – Princeton built a two-goal halftime advantage and defeated the Monmouth University women's soccer team by a 3-0 score on Friday evening at Roberts Stadium.

The home side scored both of its first-half goals after capitalizing on loose balls inside the Monmouth penalty area. The second goal came with 1:15 left before halftime and was the first of two goals for Princeton's Abby Givens on the night.

Natalie Larkin, who scored the Tigers' opening goal, set up the third marker in the 70th minute. Her run down the left side led to a cross that was one-timed past Monmouth goalie Amanda Knaub.

- Monmouth used its third different starting lineup of the season as graduate student Gabriella Cuevas made her season debut on defense for the Hawks.
