WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Bryce Wasserman scored five goals to lead the Monmouth University men's lacrosse team to an 11-6 victory over Canisius and its first-ever MAAC Regular Season Championship.
Monmouth jumped out to an early 5-2 lead after the first quarter, which featured four goals by Wasserman and one from
Chris Daly.
After Canisius trimmed the lead to 5-4 at halftime, the Hawks outscored the Golden Griffins 6-2 in the second half, including three straight goals to put the game out of reach. Monmouth secured its eighth consecutive victory and secured the top seed in the MAAC Tournament.

Katie Baron served as honorary captains for the game as the Hawks took part in their #PlayForAlly game. Baron created the Play 4 Ally Foundation after Stolzman's career was cut short in a traumatic accident.

Bryce Wasserman extended his team-best goal-scoring streak to 12 games with his second five-goal game of the season. The junior has a team-high 25 goals this season and 61 for his career.
- Wasserman's 36 points (25 goals, 11 assists) is Monmouth's new single-season record for points.
