PRINCESS ANNE, MD & STATEN ISLAND, NY – Playing two matches in two days, the Monmouth University women's tennis team swept University of Maryland Eastern Shore on Tuesday before falling to Wagner on Wednesday, 5-2. The Hawks won the first five singles matches before the sixth was forfeited, and won two doubles matches before the third was forfeited in the win at UMES on Tuesday. On Wednesday, senior Adriana Armendariz earned the win at #1 singles for Monmouth by a score of 6-2, 6-3. Kendal Kauffman also won during the singles portion, taking the 6-1, 6-2 win at #3. Armendariz teamed up with Maria Ivanova at #1 to earn the lone doubles win, 7-6 (9). Monmouth will have one more regular season match, as it hosts Quinnipiac in West Long Branch this Sunday.
