ROBINSON, SEABORN AND RICE EARN NABC ALL-DISTRICT HONORS

WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ- Three Hawks earned All-District awards as the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced their annual honors on Wednesday. King Rice was named the District I Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season, while guard Justin Robinson (Lake Katrine, NY/Kingston) was a First Team selection and Micah Seaborn (Fort Worth, TX/Prime Prep Academy) earned a spot on the Second Team.

Rice is Monmouth's first back-to-back Coach of the Year honoree through the NABC, earning the accolade after leading MU to its second straight MAAC regular season title and 27 wins en route to the National Invitation Tournament. Rice led the first group to ever win 18 MAAC games in a season, and set the school record for consecutive wins with 17.

Robinson also earns his second straight All-District First Team honor, picking up MAAC Player of the Year for the second year in a row after leading the league in scoring. Robinson became the second Monmouth player to ever reach 2,000 points in the NIT against Ole Miss, and the second Hawk to ever earn three All-MAAC First team honors.

Seaborn was second on the Hawks in scoring at 13.2 points per game, knocking in 64 threes and 72 assists. He became the third sophomore to earn all-league first team in school history, and scored in double figures 22 times with seven games of 20+ points.
