QUICKLY
Monmouth was defeated by Albany on Thursday, as the Great Danes used a 29-0 run from the end of the first quarter to the midway point of the second quarter for the 68-44 win. Sophomore Kayla Shaw led the Hawks with 16 points and also added a career-high four steals. Junior center Erica Balman notched a career-high 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds in the loss. Monmouth registered a season-high 31 turnovers, and the Great Danes capitalized with 32 points off turnovers. The Hawks fell to 1-2 on the season, and will look to even their record in their first road game of the season at Clemson on Sunday.
 
SCOUTING THE CLEMSON TIGERS
After winning its first two games of the season against Kennesaw State and South Carolina State, Clemson fell to defending NCAA Champion South Carolina on Thursday, 66-36. The Tigers were picked 13th in the Preseason ACC Coaches Poll. The team is led by Kobi Thornton, who is averaging 10.7 points per game and 6.7 rebounds per game. Danielle Edwards is not far behind with 9.0 points per game while also racking up 11 steals through three games. Last season against the Hawks, Edwards scored a game-high 19 points to go along with seven rebounds.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. CLEMSON
In the first-ever meeting between the teams last season, the Tigers earned the 60-47 win in West Long Branch. Guard Alaina Jarnot totaled eight points and three assists in the loss.
