KINGSTON, RI – The Monmouth University women's tennis team dropped a decision to Rhode Island on Saturday, 7-0. The team also had an unfinished match with Bryant on Sunday, and its match with St. Francis Brooklyn today was postponed. At Rhode Island, freshman Sophia Fredriksson lost the first No. 2 singles set, 6-3 before falling 6-0 in the second set. Freshman Rachel Rosenthal fell, 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3 singles. Freshman Chinonye Gabriel dropped a 6-2, 6-3 decision at No. 4 singles and teamed up with junior Alexandra Graff at No. 2 singles to fall, 6-3. On Sunday, the match with Bryant was unfinished with the Bulldogs leading 3-0, as the teams began with singles play. Monday's home match with St. Francis Brooklyn was postponed until October 22 at noon due to weather.
