WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – In its first of four games in four days, the Monmouth University women's tennis team was defeated by Lafayette on Friday afternoon, 7-0. Junior Maria Ivanova took the Leopards to a third set at No. 5 singles, but was defeated 4-6, 6-3, 10-6. Freshman Sophia Fredriksson battled at No. 2 singles, eventually falling 6-4, 6-3. Freshman Rachel Rosenthal was defeated by the same score at No. 3 singles. At No. 3 doubles, sophomore Caroline Mattise and freshman Sydney DeNardo were edged 6-3.
