BUFFALO, NY – The Monmouth University men's soccer team suffered a 3-0 setback at Canisius on Wednesday, falling to a 4-8-2 (1-4-1 MAAC) record. The Golden Griffins scored just 58 seconds into the game following a throw in, and added another tally just before halftime in the 43
rd minute. Canisius took the 3-0 lead after an own goal in the 86
th minute. Junior goalkeeper
Bobby Edwards made eight saves in the contest. The Hawks look to get back on track on Saturday, as they host Saint Peter's at 7:00 PM.
NOTES AND QUOTES
-Just 58 seconds in, Canisius took the 1-0 lead following a throw in. A header found the foot of Melvin Blair, who found the back of the net from 18 yards out.
