Monmouth is coming off a 68-56 setback at league-leading Iona on Friday morning. Meanwhile, the Griffs fell Friday night at Manhattan, 77-55.
SCOUTING THE CANISIUS GOLDEN GRIFFINSCrystal Porter leads Canisius at 9.2 points per game to go along with 5.0 rebounds per game. She's also averaged more than a block per game. Margret Halfdanardottir has also scored 9.1 points per game, while shooting 42.9 percent from long range. Lauren D'Hont is next in scoring at 7.4 points per game, while Tiahana Mills has added 7.3 points per game. However, Mills was lost to a season-ending injury in mid-January. Maria Welch has chipped in with 6.3 points per game, while Jasmine Mungo has scored 5.8 points and grabbed a team-best 5.2 rebounds per game. However, Mungo hasn't played in the last two games.
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. CANISIUSCanisius owns a 3-2 lead in the all-time series, which began when the Hawks joined the MAAC in 2013-14. The two teams split a pair of meetings in Monmouth's first year in the league, while the Griffs swept the regular season series last year. However, Monmouth ended Canisius' season with a 68-56 victory in the MAAC Championship First Round.

Christina Mitchell added 14 points apiece as the Hawks defeated Canisius, 68-56, March 5, 2015, in the MAAC Championship First Round. Walker completed a double-double with 10 rebounds. Kayla Hoohuli led Canisius with 18 points, while Crystal Porter added 12 points and six rebounds.
