WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J.- Monmouth Head Football Coach Kevin Callahan announced the addition of 17 student-athletes to the program Wednesday.
"For the third consecutive year our staff has put together an extremely talented class," said Monmouth Head coach Kevin Callahan. "It has always been important that we work from the inside out, recruiting the state of New Jersey first, before going to out of state areas. Ten of the 17 that signed with us come from New Jersey, and Maryland has again proven to be a great area for us. Obviously, we had some specific positions of need, and I think we addressed those needs in a very big way."
The 2016 recruiting class includes 16 student-athletes who signed National Letters of Intent, to go along with a mid-year prep school transfer. Ten total student-athletes hail from the Garden State, four from Maryland, two from New York and one Pennsylvanian.
Monmouth tentatively begins spring football practice on Wednesday, March 30 with the annual Blue/White Spring Game expected to be held on Sunday April 24, 2016.
