WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The Monmouth University women's tennis team earned its second-straight victory, cruising to a 7-0 win over visiting Saint Francis Brooklyn, Monday afternoon at the MU Tennis Courts. The Blue and White, which honored its five seniors prior to the match, opened with three 8-0 victories in doubles play, before taking all but three points in singles action.

Seniors Ashley Sandler (Jericho, N.Y./Syosset) and Farrah Smoke (Belmar, N.J./Manasquan [Brookdale C.C.]) both posted victories at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, while classmate Sarah Turner (Alexandria, Va./Thomas A. Edison) registered a 6-1, 6-1 win over Natasha Edwards at No. 6. Sophomore Adriana Armendariz (Pamplona, Spain/Colegio San Ignacio [Maryville]) posted her third victory in as many days at No. 1 with a blanking of Jennifer Gonzalez. Classmates Kendal Kauffman (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) and Chioma Gabriel (Piscataway, N.J./Piscataway) eased to 6-0, 6-0 wins at No. 4 and No. 5.

The Hawks return to play Saturday, April 18th as they host conference rival Quinnipiac at 11:00 a.m.
