Monmouth returns to non-conference action Thursday, when it plays host to Eastern Michigan. The Hawks fell at intrastate foe Princeton, 81-70, on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Eagles improved to 5-2 with an 85-81 victory at Harvard on Tuesday, with Cha Sweeney scoring 31 points.
SCOUTING THE EASTERN MICHIGAN EAGLES
Sweeney leads the Eagles at 19.7 points and 3.4 assists per game, while hoisting up 142 field-goal attempts already this season (52-142/.366). By comparison, in the same number of games, no Monmouth player has attempted more than 98 field goals. Janay Morton has also contributed 15.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 3.4 steals per game, while Phillis Webb has also averaged in double-figures scoring with 12.3 points per game to go along with 6.9 rebounds per game. While coming off the bench, Chanise Baldwin is the Eagles' leading rebounder at 8.1 boards per game, while also scoring 8.1 points per game. Sera Ozelci has also contributed 7.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.

Sarah Olson scored all 15 of her points in the first half to lead Monmouth in a 81-70 setback at regional power Princeton on Tuesday night. Olson led four Hawks in double figures -

Jasmine McCall (10). McCall and Walker each scored all 10 of their points in the final five minutes of regulation, sparking an 18-0 Monmouth run.
THROWBACK THURSDAY
A familiar face will be at the MAC Thursday, when former Hawk sharpshooter and current Eastern Michigan Assistant Coach Carly Thibault makes her return. Thibault achieved, both on and off the court at Monmouth, earning All-NEC Third Team honors and NEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year as a senior, while twice being named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 2 First Team. She also was recognized with the Monmouth Alumni Association Academic Achievement Award, given yearly to the four-year Monmouth student with the highest GPA, and the Kelsey Award as the MU student-athlete with highest GPA. She ranks third all-time at Monmouth in three-point field goals made with 166 for her career. She ranked second in the NEC at 43.9 percent from long range in her final year with the Hawks, a mark that ranks third all-time at Monmouth in a single season. She finished her collegiate career with over 700 points and 250 rebounds and nearly 150 assists.
